Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan was sworn in as the Governor of Maharashtra on 31st July 2024. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Governor of Jharkhand for nearly one and a half years. As the Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Radhakrishnan was appointed by the President of India to discharge the functions of the Governor of Telangana and as the Lt. Governor of Puducherry. With more than four decades experience, Shri Radhakrishnan is a respected name in the polity and public life of Tamil Nadu. Born on May 4, 1957, in Tiruppur in Tamil Nadu, Shri Radhakrishnan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Starting as an RSS Swayamsevak, he became a State Executive Committee Member of the Bharatiya Janasangh in 1974. In 1996, Shri Radhakrishnan was appointed the Secretary of the BJP in Tamil Nadu. He was elected to the Lok Sabha for the first time from Coimbatore in 1998. He was re-elected to Lok Sabha in 1999. During his tenure as an MP, he served as Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee for Textiles. He was also a member of the Parliamentary Committee for Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and the Consultative Committee for Finance. He was a member of the Parliamentary Special Committee investigating the Stock Exchange Scam. In 2004, Shri Radhakrishnan addressed the UN General Assembly as part of the Parliamentary Delegation. He was also a member of the first Parliamentary delegation to Taiwan. Between 2004 and 2007, Shri Radhakrishnan served as the State President of the BJP in Tamil Nadu. In this role, he undertook a 19,000 km ‘Ratha Yatra’ that lasted for 93 days. The Yatra was organised to highlight his demands for the linking of all Indian rivers, eradicating terrorism, implementing a uniform civil code, removing untouchability and combating the menace of narcotic drugs. He also led two more Padayatras for different causes. In 2016, Shri Radhakrishnan was appointed as the Chairman of the Coir Board, Kochi, a position he held for four years. Under his leadership, coir exports from India reached an all-time high of Rs. 2532 crores. From 2020 to 2022, he was the All India in Charge of BJP for Kerala. On February 18, 2023, Shri Radhakrishnan was appointed as the Governor of Jharkhand. Within his first four months, he travelled to all the 24 districts of Jharkhand, interacting with citizens and district officials. An avid sportsperson, Shri Radhakrishnan was a college champion in table tennis and a long-distance runner. He also enjoyed cricket and volleyball. Widely traveled, Shri Radhakrishnan has visited the USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Holland, Turkey, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Egypt, UAE, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Japan

Lt Gen Madhuri Kanitkar PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd) assumed the prestigious appointment of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik on 1st November 2021 after 39 years of service in the Army Medical Corps. She is a medical graduate of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune University and Postgraduate in MD (Paediatric) from Indian Naval Hospital Ship (INHS), Asvini. She has had the distinction of being first in Pune University in all the three phases of MBBS. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor is a Paediatric Nephrologist who has done her post- graduation in Paediatrics from Mumbai in 1990 and Training in Paediatric Nephrology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, followed by Fellowships at NUH Singapore and GOS London. She has also completed the FAIMER Fellowship in Medical Education. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor has been Professor and Head of Paediatrics at AFMC and also the Dean at her Alma Mater. She has over 25 years of teaching experience and was awarded Best Teacher of MUHS in 2008. She has been known to work for students welfare. Under her leadership the officers, faculty and staff of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences have undertaken many initiatives in a time bound manner. These are illustrated in the Vision Document on the website. For her distinguished service Gen Kanitkar has been awarded Param Vishist Seva Medal in 2022, Ati Vishist Seva Medal in 2018, Vishist Seva Medal in 2014. She serves as a member on the Prime Ministers Science Technology and Innovation Advisory Council.

At the Age of 27 yrs become Principal of Saptshrungi Ayurved College, Nashik, At the Age of 37 years become MPSC Professor in Government Ayurved College, Maharashtra. At the age of 43 become Dean of Government Ayurved College, Jalgaon. Pioneer and founder Dean of 5th Government Ayurved College after 35 years of Govt. Institution & founder & pioneer as also Acting Dean of 1st Government Homoepathy College, Jalgaon.
